Star Ruler is a real-time 4x space strategy game developed by Blind Mind Studies, a startup Computer Game development company.

The story goes that the company run out of budget during game development and to be able to finish the game they had no choice than to release it in 21st of August 2010 to be able to do some cash in. Since then they have been very active, releasing patch after patch.

At the time of release I did a review of Star Ruler (v1.0.0.6). Let’s say that the game was not spectacular by then.

Yesterday Blind Mind Studios released a new patch (v1.0.5.0). You can see where and how to download it here.

   Thanks for the heads-up on this Adam, looks like the game has had enough extra time “in the oven”.

   I’ll give it a spin when I find a bit of time to see if the major shortcomings have been addressed.
