Sword of the Stars is a solid 4X game that I recommend to fans of simpler games, or perhaps newcomers. For people who want more control over their empire, there are better options. SotS is like MoO1, so if you preferred the MoO2 you may want to pass this one by.

I would recommend this game to fans of the genre. While I have personally made comparisons to Star Control II, SPAZ has certainly earned its own place among this type of games.

Astriarch is probably one of the simplest space strategy games I've ever played and its brilliance is only surpassed by how strikingly simple it is to play.

The latest news about Gemini Wars introduce two Alliance spaceships. These are the Alliance Assault Frigate and Missile Frigate. The Gemini Wars developers promised to announce more spaceships in the coming weeks.
