Game Jobs Recruiting – New SpaceSector.com Forum

By on May 9th, 2011 9:53 am

Lately, I’ve been in touch with many fellow Sci-fi gamers that are launching their own sci-fi game projects right now. Some of them have already a marketable product, others are at mid development, others are just starting now and are still in the pre-production phase (vision, scope, etc).

I thought that it would be cool to have a place where the Sci-fi community could look for work opportunities. A place where game developers could request the contribution of other people willing to help while at the same time offer a place for talented people to show off their work while looking for an opportunity.

So if you’re an Artist, Designer, Programmer, Audio/Sound Engineer, QA Engineer, among other specializations, have a look at the Game Jobs forum. There could be an opportunity waiting for you.

On the other hand, if you’re a producer, game designer or a game developer entrepreneur and you’re looking for more hands to help you out in your Sci-fi game project this forum will be a good place for you.

The idea is of course not to replace and not to be redundant with the  already established authority sites about game development that offer forums for recruiting like moddb.com (for Indie developers) or Gamedev.net (for any kind of game developer).

The idea behind the SpaceSector.com the Job forum is to take advantage of the Sci-fi gaming niche and allow people with this same interest to connect. I believe that this will result in better final products because the producer, the designer, the programmer and the artist will have a better chance to be “speaking the same language” since they share the same interests and probably have played the same games in the past.

The new recruiting forum is under the SpaceSector.com Community Forum. Use it to look for recruits or to propose yourself and your talents.

Happy coding and happy gaming! ;-)
