dose ane one know if there will ever be another home world ?

Seems that we are out of luck. This thread posted on Relic News Forum makes a list of reasons of why is improbable for us to see Homeworld 3 come to life, mainly due to game rights issues and specially because Relic Entertainment (the developer of Homeworld and Homeworld 2) has been purchased by another company.

In the forum thread they conclude by saying "In a nutshell, it is extremely unlikely that we will ever see a Homeworld 3.", which is a pity :s

Although ... in an Eurogamer.com article (late 2008) they announced a rumor that Relic could be looking into producing Homeworld 3 due to news that the publisher has acquired the franchise rights from Vivendi.

well atleast there is a light at the end of the tunnle just dont know how long it is

big shame i loved homeworld i allways reveart to playing it when i loze my internet and dont stop till i finish it wich usally takes around 5 days

+ i fink we would of hird of somthing by now if it was in develipment in 2008 eaven if it is just a rumor

Have you tried Sins of a Solar Empire? It has some aspects that are similar to Homeworld like the space combat.

i do have that game but it doesn't come close to HW in my opinion

i think there should be a 3rd Homeworld because Sins of a Solar Empire is rubbish compared to Homeworld 2 and theres a lot of room for a Homeworld 3 but its just a thought
