Origin Systems and EA hold the rights to the original Wing Commander games and don&#8217;t seem to be affiliated with WCS in any way, so, WCS cannot be commercialized. The game was 10 years in development and got released today, <a  href=\"http:\/\/www.wcsaga.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">for free<\/a>. WCS uses the Freespace 2&#8242; open source engine at its core. Today the WCS devs have announced the release of the PC version.
