Paradox Interactive and Kerberos Studios were at GDC (Game Developers Conference) 2011 unravelling more mysteries about the Sword of the Stars 2 universe in a video interview with Martin Cirulis, the lead designer and CEO of Sword of the Stars 2: The Lords of Winter.

SOTS2 is the sequel to the acclaimed 4x space strategy game Sword of the Stars and it’s target for release at Q3 2011. To know more about SOTS2 I invite you to read my post “Sword of the Stars 2 Announced”. You can also check out the official Paradox Interactive SOTS2 website.

I haven’t played the original game but from what I saw so far I have a feeling I’m gonna enjoy this game.

I played the original SOTS. I liked it, it reminded me of the original Master of Orion (not II, the original). The music, overall feeling was very good. Combat was also nice. Never played the expansions though, I don’t know if they added much to the original. I din’t reviewed SOTS, due to lack of opportunity. I remember asking Kerberos for a review copy of SOTS, at the time they didn’t replied (refused). Well, SpaceSector.com was pretty young by then, I guess they didn’t gave me much credit by then.

These days it’s very easy to get review copies, even preview copies. I guess the industry is finally recognizing my work. After all I’m here to help the industry, not only the commercial one but also the indie non-commercial projects out there.
